About Us

Princeton ReachOut56-81 was formed over a decade ago with the notion that Princeton's Class of 1956 (and more recently, the classes of 1981 and 2006) should dedicate itself in significant measure to helping not-for-profit organizations in ventures of social value. The mission has evolved into several programs. Each year two graduating seniors from Princeton who have proposed plans to work on a public interest project for one year are selected and their year funded by the Class to the extent of $30,000 each. This program involves soliciting individual participants on the Princeton campus, interviewing those participants and selecting the two with the most significant projects and providing the funding so they may undertake them. If you're interested in applying for a ReachOut fellowship, please email fellowships@reachout56-81.com.

The other area of ReachOut's interest involves the committing of time, energy and experience by the members and friends of the classes of '56, '81 and '06 to help consult for and help mentor at not-for-profit enterprises, including schools.
